Winner of the Pacific Music Festival Award for marimba, this group of young folk artists recreates the culture of Santa Barbara through their excellent musical stylings. Headed by lead singer Nidia Sofia, Canalon de Timbiqui remembers its South American and Pacific roots by telling stories of folklore, myths, and daily life there. The band follows the traditional marimba style, featuring two drums and various singers.
