It is now left to us to extend his priceless legacy in performing,
teaching and in recognizing due artistic merit in our environment.
With precisely this in mind, the “Kelucharan Guna Keertanam” is
instituted from this year, 2012. It is our sacred responsibility to
organize the event with the flair that Guruji always expected from us.
It is my earnest endeavor, in the path shown by my guru, Guru Ratikant
Mohapatra, not only to bring together Guruji’s extended family, namely
his friends, well wishers, colleagues, and particularly his beloved
students who have dedicated their lives to traditional Odissi dance,
but also to blend in Indian heritage in the United States. And in this
effort I need your good wishes and generous support to bring together
all artists, young and talented, within the United States, who have
been living here and been dreaming of such an event for years, on one
stage! Dancers from different states, representing different Odissi
Maestros/Gharanas and Odissi Institutes will be making this event
gorgeous with their excellent performances! All are cordially invited
to join our Odissi family on June 16th, 2012!
